WEINHEIM, Germany—As Russia's unprovoked attacks on Ukraine continue, the Freudenberg Group is stepping up to support Ukrainian citizens with a donation of around $3.25 million.
"The pictures of the war in Ukraine leave us stunned and our thoughts are with the people there. This is why we are donating 3 million euros as immediate humanitarian aid," the company said in social media posts on Twitter and LinkedIn. "We are hoping for an immediate cease fire and a diplomatic and peaceful solution."
Freudenberg Group operates in a variety of sectors, including automotive and medical. Its subsidiaries include Freudenberg Sealing Technologies, Vibracoustic, Freudenberg Medical, Freudenberg Performance Materials and Freudenberg Oil and Gas Technologies, among others.
With operations in more than 60 countries and annual sales of around $10 billion in 2020, Freudenberg maintains its headquarters in Weinheim. The more than 170-year-old company employs about 48,000 worldwide.
