SANTA ANA, Calif.—Yokohama Tire Corp. has promoted 20-year information technology veteran Pavan Desanenias to vice president of IT.
Desanenias replaces Wasi Ahmed in the position and will report to Tom Masuguchi, Yokohama executive vice president and CFO.
Masuguchi said Desanenias has been instrumental in Yokohama's recent IT infrastructure overhaul.
"He's a highly skilled and knowledgeable IT executive who will oversee the future phases of our digital transformation," Masuguchi said.
Desaneni has a degree in computer science from Osmania University. He joined Yokohama in 2014 as senior manager, enterprise architect and platform. He then was promoted to director of the department before his most recent promotion.
Before joining Yokohama, Desaneni worked as IT manager at Ventura Foods and a senior systems engineer at Pharmavite L.L.C.
Ahmed left Yokohama after five years earlier this summer to join Foundation Building Materials.
