DORAL, Fla.—Vipal Rubber is reaching a milestone with the company's Qualified and Guaranteed Retread program.
QGR, which hit the 6 million retreaded tire milestone, guarantees the first retreading of truck and bus tires of what the company says are the most popular brands, including the casing.
The 16 brands approved by Vipal Rubber in the program include Fate, Firestone, Goodyear, Michelin, Bridgestone, Pirelli, Toyo, Continental, Dunlop, Sumitomo, Yokohama, Hankook, Double Coin, Marshal, General and BF Goodrich.
"All retreaded tires go through certified processes according to the regulatory bodies of each location, which aims to ensure the quality of the service. Vipal's biggest competitive advantage is that the QGR guarantee extends this benefit, also guaranteeing the tire's casing in the first retreading," said Technical Assistance Manager Leandro Paim in a statement.
Brazil-based Vipal Rubber is one of the world's largest retreading companies. U.S. headquarters are in Doral.
