ST. LOUIS—Tire wholesaler and importer Tire Mart Inc. is moving aggressively to expand its Braven brand of off-road tires targeted at owners of all-terrain- and/or ultra-terrain vehicles (ATV/UTV) with the launch of a pair of new tread patterns.
Tire Mart markets the Braven brand, which debuted in 2015 as the company's competition-oriented product range, through its Pit Bull Brands Inc. business unit.
The additions to the brand include the Braven BloodAxe R/T, a DOT-approved hybrid tire that fits between a mud-terrain and all-terrain tire; and the Braven Berserker M/T tire, a four-lug "mad traction" M/T tire design designed to perform in a variety of terrains.
The BloodAxe R/T features an aggressive tread pattern with numerous siping, which provide extra traction in wet terrain as well as help clean out mud and debris, and sidewall lugs for protection and additional bite in muddy ruts, the company said.
Both tires share features that include advanced eight-ply radial construction; chip- and tear-resistant rubber compound; strategic siping and lug voids; staggered center and shoulder lugs; and stone kicker bars.
The BloodAxe is available in five sizes—28x9.00R14; 30x9.50R14; 30x9.50R15; 32x10.00R14; 32x10.00R15; 35x10.00R15—at prices ranging from $189.99 to $264.99.
The Beserker comes in eight sizes—28x10.00R12; 28x10.00R14; 28x10.00R15; 30x10.00R14; 30x10.00R15; 32x10.00R14; 32x10.00R15; and 35x10.00R15—at prices ranging from $199.99 to $274.99.
The tires are built in China by Tianjin Wanda Tire Group Co. Ltd., according the tires' DOT codes.
St. Louis-based Pit Bull markets a broad range of ATV/UTV and light truck tires targeted at off-roaders. It complements its tire selection with wheels and also markets a range of scale-model tires for the radio-controlled vehicle segment.
