COLOGNE, Germany—The Tire Cologne trade fair, set for June 19-20, is taking shape with nearly 70 percent of the planned exhibition space already booked and participation confirmed by nearly 300 companies, according to officials for exhibition center KoelnMesse.
Almost all "well-known key accounts from the focus segments" have signed up for the second staging of the expo, which launched in 2018, the organizer said.
Companies who have signed on to participate next year include the top five players in the international tire industry, according to KoelnMesse's Sept. 17 press statement.
"Besides intensive discussions with exhibitors, we primarily are involved in the planning of the congress and event program," said Tire Cologne Director Ingo Riedeberger.
Backed by the German tire retailers and vulcanization trade association, Tire Cologne will showcase new developments from tire makers, tire retailers, car-service providers, workshop outfitters, recyclers and retreaders.
Another highlight will be a "Future Mobility" special event which will be integrated with best-practice examples and a driving-course to offer additional experiences to show visitors.
Tire Cologne will "point to questions that affect the industry," a KoelnMesse statement read. "How will mobility change in the future? What impact will changes have on people and society? What does changed mobility mean for the product tires? And what effect will this have on the tire industry?"
