HIALEAH, Fla.—A long-time tire retreader based in Florida is being celebrated for its quarter-century partnership with Vipal Rubber.
Fedan Tire Co., based in Hialeah, started using Vipal Rubber products 25 years ago as the company's first commercial partner in the U.S. market. To recognize the long-term business relationship, Vipal Rubber delivered a commemorative plaque to Fedan.
"Vipal has been a very important partner for our business the past 25 years. Our company currently has the capacity to retread 3,000 tires per month. With all the new equipment installed and the quality of Vipal's products, we were able to deliver the best to our customers," Fedan owner Felix Sanchez Jr. said in a statement.
Sanchez Jr. also took the opportunity to acknowledge his father and founder of Fedan, Felix Sanchez, who started the company 42 years ago and who "continues to accompany us in our growth," he said.
While Fedan has been working with Vipal for 25 years, the Florida company has been in the tire business for 42 years.
"Fedan was the first retreader in the United States to believe in our products and services," said Gabriel Fuma, Vipal Rubber's commercial manager for North America.
Vipal Rubber, one of the largest tire retreading companies in the world, is based in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
