LOS ANGELES—Prinx Chengshan Tire North America Inc. has unveiled two specialty tires, the PTL1 spread-axle trailer tire and the Prinx PSL1ET enhanced long haul steer tire.
Prinx said the PTL1 is manufactured with a specialized tread compound that withstands the pressures of wear and tear. It has an arc shoulder design that distributes lateral forces evenly, helping to prevent abrasion.
The angled, zigzag pattern within the shoulder groove base ensures stability for shoulder pattern blocks, Prinx Chengshan said, providing added resistance against casing fatigue and tread block tearing. Incorporated stone ejectors and gradient grooves work together to diminish tread cap damage and foster easier retreading.
The firm also said the tire features a "robust bead filler and high-strength rim cushion" that helps the tire handle high-load spread- axle applications and navigate lateral forces during turns.
The product, like all Prinx TBR products, come with a five-year/two-retread guarantee.
Pete Salvan, vice president of sales at Prinx Chengshan, said the PTL1 "embodies our commitment to delivering unparalleled performance solutions that truly resonate with our customers. This tire stands as a testament to our dedication to driving excellence in sales and enhancing the value we provide."
