WEST COVINA, Calif. — Prinx Chengshan Tire North America, Inc. (PCTNA) has enhanced its truck/bus radial (TBR) lineup with several changes to its portfolio.
Prinx has improved the speed rating for its 19.5-inch AR602 All-Position tire—sizes 225/70R19.5 and 245/70R19.5 now have a N speed rating (87 mph).
Ken Coltrane, vice president of marketing and product development at PCTNA, said the change "was driven by invaluable feedback from our customers in the field," that he said shows Prinx's dedication to meeting changing industry demands.
In addition, Prinx, a subsidiary of Prinx Chengshan (Shandong) Tire Co. Ltd., has added a 315/80R22.5 coach/bus tire, in the AR603 pattern, to its TBR portfolio. The product has a 75 mph L-speed rating and the industry's three-peak mountain snowflake winter performance certification, Prinx said, providing "exceptional performance for dealers servicing these vehicles, ensuring enhanced safety and reliability on the road."
Finally, the AM210 line for mixed service applications was expanded with a 255/70R22.5 16-ply SKU and a wider five-rib design in the 315/80R22.5 size, broadening the range's capabilities. This five-rib design will be designated AM210-A to help distinguish it from the four-rib design currently in the lineup, Prinx said.
The AM210 series features a special chip/cut compound and a four-belt construction, "ensuring superior performance in diverse operating conditions." Prinx said.
