WAALWIJK, Netherlands—OTR tire supplier Magna Tyres Group has opened a sales office in Brno, Czech Republic, to help strengthen its presence in Eastern Europe.
The Dutch tire company said demand in Eastern Europe has increased, creating the need for a sales office, particularly to be closer to the Czech and Slovak markets. Magna said the company has increased its brand awareness, market share and customer base in the region.
"We took a great deal of care in choosing this location for our new office," Marcin Kochaniak, managing director Magna Tyres Poland, said. He also now is in charge of the Czech office.
"This strategic decision enables Magna Tyres to further strengthen our commitment, enhance the efficiency, to provide better services, expand our scope and enable new projects. This regional office will strengthen our footprint and offer a dedicated local business professional for our clients and partners."
Daniel Spacek, a sales manager who has "in-depth knowledge of the region and the various markets," will be the sales manager for the new territory.
Kochaniak said Spacek has "the kind of substantive expertise, leadership strength and business acumen that will help guide Magna Tyres as we continue to grow and strengthen our position as a global leading second-tier tire brand in the tire industry."
Magna also has a sales office in Leipzig, in eastern Germany.
