DIAMOND BAR, Calif.—Nexen Tire America Inc. has added the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake designation to its Roadian AT Pro RA8 all-terrain tire, signifying its ability to perform in ice, snow and difficult terrain.
Nexen said the tire is designed for optimal mud extraction and noise reduction. The 3PMSF designation indicates the Roadian AT Pro RA8 meets required performance criteria in snow testing to be considered severe-snow service rated.
The tire has a 50,000-mile, limited warranty with 36 months of roadside assistance, and it is available in both P-metric and LT-metric sizes, covering 15- to 22-inch rim diameters. Tires with the 3PMSF designation are not available as original equipment or in flotation sizes.
Nexen said it began to produce tires with the 3PMSF mark molded into the sidewall earlier this month. Dealers can place orders for delivery of the tires, which should arrive in 60-90 days.
The Roadian AT Pro RA8 was launched in early 2018.
