New 2024 Chevrolet Traverse to sport Conti tires

FORT MILL, S.C.—General Motors Co. has selected 20- and 22-inch rim-diameter versions of the Continental CrossContact LX20 as an original-equipment fitments on the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse SUV.

The CrossContact LX 20 features a tread pattern designed to reduce rolling resistance and improve fuel efficiency; shorten braking distances on dry and wet roads; and offers improved treadwear to extend tire life, Continental said.

The uniform sipe arrangement of the tread reduces noise for improved driving comfort.

This tire line is approved for the 2024 version of the Chevrolet Traverse in numerous countries in sizes 275/45 R22 108 V and 255/55 R20 107 H.

The 2024 Traverse, the third generation of the SUVE, draws inspiration from Chevy's truck lineup and thus is intended to be a more rugged alternative to the second generation that debuted for 2018.

The Traverse is a three-row, eight-passenger SUV is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 328 hp and 326 pound-feet of torque.
