Michelin claims the e.Primacy All Season tire provides 25 percent better efficiency when compared to two leading competitor products—the Continental ProContact RX T0 tire and Bridgestone Turanza. Michelin said its new tire adds as much as 20 miles per battery charge and saves a full tank of gas each year.
When it comes to quiet, comfortable rides, the e.Primacy All Season relies on Piano Acoustic Technology, a tread pattern optimized to help reduce noise. The tire also uses Cushion Guard technology, a "soft, cushioning layer of rubber between the tread and the steel belts" that dampens the road impacts, contributing to smoother, more "luxurious" ride.
The tire is a fitment for EVs, ICE and hybrid vehicles.
"As the market continues to change with the development of more hybrids and EVs, Michelin continues to be an industry leader for confident and lasting performance," Omer Waysman, vice president of marketing for Michelin North America Inc.'s business-to-consumer products, said in a statement. "When fuel efficiency and extended range matter, consumers can trust the e.Primacy All Season tire to take them further on every journey."
