GREENVILLE, S.C.—One of the world's fastest growing leisure aircraft manufacturers has found a partner in Michelin.
The Greenville-based tire maker said earlier this month that it had reached an exclusive OEM partnership with Czech Republic-based BRM Aero. BRM Aero, which manufactures Bristell aircraft, also operates a U.S.-based flight academy.
"This new agreement continues to expand Michelin's commitment to a strong partnership with the general aviation industry globally," M. Scott Murray, Michelin North America Inc. vice president of aircraft tire sale, said in a statement. "By partnering with BRM AERO, Michelin's premier quality aviation tires will make an already great aircraft even better."
BRM Aero CEO Martin Bristela noted that the exclusive partnership with Michelin was years in the making. It was, he said, the tire maker's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction that stood out.
"Due to our long-standing satisfaction with Michelin tires that meet our high-quality standards and customer satisfaction, we are proud to announce that BRM Aero is now an official Michelin partner," Bristel said. "We look forward to future cooperation and a stronger partnership than ever before, standing alongside a company that shares the same values of innovation and quality."
Michelin Aircraft Tires offers offer a range aviation tire products, including bias and radial tires, and tubes, for customers globally. It serves commercial aviation industry, 18 of the top 20 airlines. Michelin aircraft tires also are used by regional airlines and the military.
