GREENVILLE, S.C.—Michelin North America Inc. plans to raise prices on selected Michelin- and BFGoodrich-brand passenger and light-truck tires in the U.S. and Canada by up to 5 percent, beginning Sept. 1.
Michelin did not comment on its reasons for raising prices at this time. Customers may discuss details concerning the price increase directly with account managers.
This is Michelin's second announced consumer tire price increase in 2019. The Greenville-based company raised passenger and light-truck tire prices in the U.S. and Canada by up to 5 percent on Jan. 1. That increase also included Uniroyal-brand consumer tires and Michelin-brand two-wheeler tires, sold in the U.S. and Canada.
