GREENVILLE, S.C.—Caterpillar Inc. has recognized Michelin North America Inc. for its commitment to excellence, awarding the Greenville-based tire maker with the Caterpillar Supplier Excellence Award.
The award, Michelin said, honors suppliers that support Caterpillar's growth strategy with a "culture of zero defects for customers."
"Caterpillar depends on premiere suppliers like Michelin to provide high-quality, defect-free products that meet or exceed their standards," Bill Schafer, vice president of sales, Beyond Road, for Michelin Mining. "We are proud that our team has collaborated closely with Caterpillar to help them provide products and services to their customers all over the world."
On road and beyond, Michelin has been recognized by OEMs for its commitment to excellence. Earlier this year, Michelin was named among General Motors' outstanding suppliers, and named one of Honda's top suppliers.
