Marangoni establishes first franchisee in North India

MUMBAI, India—Retread industry supplier Marangoni Group has signed its first franchisee in North India—Manoj Tyres, an existing retreader in Kanpur, India.

Manoj previously used retreading material from two Indian retreading companies before deciding to switch to Marangoni, according to the Roverto, Italy-based supplier of tread rubber, retread equipment and technology. .

Marangoni said a new greenfield facility at a new site, with new equipment including Marangoni's Ringtreader RT920, has been commissioned.

Hemant Kaul, CEO, Marangoni, India, said his company now has a experienced partner who understands what Marangoni brings to fleets.

Manoj Agarwal, who has operated the dealership for more than 30 years, said he felt the need to "future-proof" his business and therefore focused on the Marangoni technology.
