CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio—The bi-annual ITEC in Focus conference returned to Cuyahoga Falls Sept. 25, this time examining ways in which tires can improve to meet new demands for fuel efficiency and changing expectations for environmental responsibility.
The program continues through noon on Sept. 26.
The conference, co-chaired by Walter Waddell and Larry Evans, kicked off with a day full of presentations from experts representing companies and agencies from across the industry. The first day's agenda featured 11 presentations, including three plenary presentations.
In addition to the conference program, attendees enjoyed networking opportunities during refreshment breaks, lunch and the welcoming cocktail reception.
The ITEC in Focus conferences are an extension of the larger International Tire Exhibition and Conference, which is held every other year in Akron. The ITEC in Focus program is designed to cover one aspect of tire manufacturing from a variety of viewpoints including manufacturers, suppliers and government agencies.
