Hoosier Tire represents Indiana at White House 'Made in America' expo

WASHINGTON—Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. is among 50 companies invited to the White House this week to represent their states at the Trump Administration's fourth annual Made in America Showcase.

Lakeville, Ind.-based Hoosier, a subsidiary since 2016 of Germany's Continental A.G., is representing Indiana.

Each year since taking office, President Trump has invited hundreds of business owners and workers from every state to display their American-made products at the White House's annual Made in America Showcase.

Trump remains "steadfastly committed" to implementing policies that put American workers first and allow businesses across the U.S. to thrive, the White House said.

Hoosier Tire has, as yet, not commented publicly on being asked to participate.

Founded in the early 1950s by local dirt-track racer Bob Newton and his wife Joyce, Hoosier Tire today produces a broad portfolio of racing tires for dozens of types of motorsports, from go-karts to drag racers to NASCAR-style sedans and a wide range of road-racing sports cars. It recently branched into tires for motocross.

It was acquired by Continental in 2016 and produces General-brand race tires for Conti as part of its supply agreement with NASCAR for the ARCA series.
