Hercules releases two tires to Canadian market

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C—American Tire Distributors Inc.'s (ATD) Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. unit has launched the Hercules Terra Trac Cross-V AW and Roadtour Connect AS for the Canadian market.

The passenger and light-truck tires were displayed by Hercules at the 2023 SEMA Show in Las Vegas and have been available in U.S. markets since late last year.

The Hercules Terra Trac Cross-V AW is the brand's first all-weather highway tire, which fits CUVs, SUVs and light trucks. The tire is available in 39 sizes covering 16- to 22-inch rim diameters, fitting vehicles such as the Kia Telluride, Jeep Cherokee, Subaru Outback, Toyota Highlander and Ford F-150.

The product carries the industry's three-peak mountain snowflake certification, and according to Hercules, offers advanced technology and enhanced performance.

The Hercules Roadtour Connect AS replaces the Roadtour 455 and Roadtour 455 Sport in the lineup. The all-season passenger/performance touring tire will have 41 SKUs, covering rim diameters of 14 to 19 inches.

The Roadtour Connect AS has an asymmetrical tread pattern that provides improved traction and enhanced ride comfort at an accessible price point, according to Hercules. The tire will fit such vehicles as the Toyota Camry and RAV4, Honda Civic, Nissan Altima, Hyundai Sonata and the Ford Escape.

Both tires are backed by the Hercules Performance Promise warranty. Hercules will offer a treadwear warranty of 65,000 miles on P-metric sizes of the Terra Trac Cross-V AW and 60,000 miles on LT-metric sizes, as well as 55,000 miles on the T-, H- and V-rated Roadtour Connect AS.

They also come with Hercules' 45-day "Trust our Ride" trial period, road-hazard protection and workmanship and materials coverage.
