RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.—Sumitomo Rubber North America is planning to raise prices on select Falken-brand tire lines by up to 5 percent, beginning March 1.
The company, a subsidiary of Japan's Sumitomo Rubber Co. Ltd., also said it will implement "inline adjustments" on a per size basis.
Falken did not provide a reason for the price increase.
The company said details of the increase will be provided to customers through its our sales team in the near future.
Sumitomo Rubber last raised prices on Falken-brand tires May 1, 2018, when it implemented increases of 3 percent to 7 percent on select product lines.
