WASHINGTON—Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has recalled 163 Avon Cobra Chrome radial motorcycle tires because of a thin inner liner gauge that may cause tire failure.
The tires were manufactured at the Avon plant in Melksham, England, between April 8, 2018, and June 1, 2019, Cooper told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
They may have a visual anomaly on the inside inner liner surface, Cooper said. Owners may notice a disturbance in the ride or steering because of the defect.
Cooper will replace the tires free of charge. Owners may call Cooper customer service at 800-854-6288 or email [email protected], citing recall No. 174.
