PASADENA, Texas—China Manufacturers Alliance L.L.C. has opened a warehouse distribution center in Pasadena, its sixth in North America.
The new facility in the southeastern Houston suburb is the firm's largest warehouse in North America with 29 dock doors and two drive-up ramps, plus office space, CMA said. It's located just a few miles from the Houston docks, CMA said, making shipping "easier and quicker."
"Through this new warehouse, we will have enhanced logistics capabilities that will greatly benefit our company and our valued customers," Tim Phillips, vice president of marketing and operations, said.
The warehouse will serve what CMA terms as growing demand for Double Coin's range of radial truck/bus tires and off-the-road and industrial tires.
This is Monrovia, Calif.-based CMA's third warehouse opening this year. In February the subsidiary of China's Double Coin Holdings opened facilities in Rancho Cucamonga and Riverside, Calif., to boost capacity, especially to West Coast customers.
CMA's other distribution centers in North America are located in Memphis, Tenn.; Airdrie, Alberta; and Queretaro, Mexico.
It also has a distribution center in San Jose, Costa Rica, for Central America.
