NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Bridgestone Americas Inc. has become the latest tire manufacturer to increase prices.
The Nashville-based company said it will hike prices on Bridgestone, Firestone and Fuzion passenger and light truck tires sold in the U.S. and Canada, beginning Jan. 1. The amount of the price hike was not disclosed.
Bridgestone said the new pricing will include adjustments by channel at the article and pattern level. It said that its consumer replacement tire sales team are in the process of contacting customers to provide more details about the changes.
Bridgestone last raised prices on Oct. 1, when it adjusted prices for consumer and commercial tires sold in the U.S. and Canada. Then, the tire maker raised prices for Bridgestone-, Firestone- and Fuzion-brand passenger and light truck tires by up to 9 percent in the U.S. and Canada.
Prices for Bridgestone and Firestone truck and bus radial (TBR) tires increased by up to 9 percent in the U.S. and up to 15 prices in Canada.
