NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Bridgestone Americas Inc. is taking its Enliten technology further than ever before, introducing two new commercial tires that feature the higher performing, more sustainable technology.
During the 2025 Technology and Maintenance Council's Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition, Bridgestone rolled out the Bridgestone R273 Ecopia regional tire for the steer position and the Bridgestone Duravis M705 for mixed fleet vehicles in pick up and delivery and last-mile delivery fleets.
The R273 Ecopia is the second regional trucking tire to offer greater tread wear and performance as a direct result of Enliten technology, which also makes use of renewable and recycled materials. The tire features a newly engineered tread compound and design that helps to reduce shoulder wear and improve removal milage.
Additionally, the new R273 Ecopia tire has a casing made with low rolling resistance compounds and an improved four-rib pattern that contributes to fuel economy improvements when compared to previous generation Ecopia tires.
Initially available in six sizes—295/75R22.5; 11R22.5; 11R24.5; 285/75R24.5; 12R22.5 and 295/80R22.5—the tires will launch for fleets later this year.
The Duravis M705 is the first mixed fleets tire to feature Bridgestone's Enliten technology. The all-position tire is designed for performance with sidewall protectors and an improved casing design that offers extra durability that aids with retreading efficiency.
Its mixed tread design and 3D sipes help to improve wear compared to the Bridgestone M724 and it offers all-weather performance. The tire's Three Peak Mountain Snowflake designation ensures wintery weather performance.
"The new R273 Ecopia and Duravis M705 with Enliten technology demonstrate how Bridgestone continues to push to enhance our product performance with our goal toward sustainability in mind," Steve Hoeft, president of Bridgestone Americas' Commercial Truck Group, said in a statement. "These tires reflect our approach of using real-world data to not only enhance performance for our fleet customers but also to infuse environmentally friendly practices into our industry."
