FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany—Zeppelin Systems GmbH, which designs plants and facility system components for bulk processing of raw materials, is partnering with Recykl Group of Poland to recycle end-of-life tires.
The partnership officially began Feb. 3, according to Zeppelin. Recykl Organizacja Odzysku S.A., the group company with which Zeppelin will work, is a division of a Recykl Group that has worked in ELT processing since 2004.
The company processes more than 120,000 metric tons of used tire material every year in Central and Eastern Europe.
"As an integrated solutions provider for the recycling of end-of-life tires, we are closing an important gap in the circular economy by means of our partnership with Recykl Group," said Guido Veit, vice president sales for polyolefins, rubber and silos at Zeppelin Systems. "We are making our contribution to commercializing the recyclate production technologies which the tire industry urgently needs to manufacture sustainable tires."
