SHAH ALAM, Malaysia—Top Glove Corp. Bhd. has unveiled its recently launched sustainability policy, which outlines the glove maker's commitments to environmental, social, governance (ESG) and traceability.
In a June 15 statement, the world's biggest rubber glove manufacturer said the policy, developed in consultation with various stakeholders, will see the group attaining 70 percent traceability to natural rubber plantations by 2025.
By that year, Top Glove also aims to set a target year by which to achieve its "net zero carbon" goals.
Three strategic themes outlined in the policy include tackling climate change, being people-centric and creating long term value through ethical business practices.
In addition to supporting "no deforestation" and "protection of peatlands," Top Glove said it respected and supported international human rights principles.
