HOUSTON—Materials firm Kraton Corp. recently won a Platinum rating for its sustainability management system from EcoVadis.
In a news release, Marcello Boldrini, Kraton's chief sustainability officer, said the rating "highlights Kraton's ongoing commitment and dedication to sustainability throughout our company, as we work to address evolving market needs."
The Platinum rating is the highest distinction in the EcoVadis supplier sustainability rating structure. It puts Houston-based Kraton in the top 1 percent of all companies evaluated in its sector. EcoVadis of Paris reviews more than 75,000 companies and evaluates how an organization has integrated the principles of sustainability/CSR into its business and management system.
The EcoVadis platform and sustainability scorecards cover more than 200 purchasing categories in 190 countries.
Kraton's product mix includes styrenic block copolymers. The firm posted sales of almost $1.6 billion in 2020.
