GOTHENBURG, Sweden—Scandinavian Enviro Systems has received a recovered pyrolysis oil order worth $215,000 from a subsidiary of an unnamed U.S. oil company.
The client, one of the five largest oil companies in the U.S., will use the oil production tests at a European oil refinery owned by the U.S. company, Enviro reported Feb. 8.
According to the supplier, the production tests will help determine how suitable the tire-derived oil is as feedstock to produce different biofuels.
The deal is subject to Enviro's recovered oil gaining a registration for use as an intermediate under the European Union's REACH chemicals regulation.
