HANOVER, Germany—The ContiTech group of Continental A.G. is being proactive at its factories worldwide on a number of sustainability initiatives.
Those include installing a photovoltaic system at a plant in Romania, planning other PV projects at seven factories and naming three facilities as pilot sites for carbon dioxide neutrality by 2030.
"Each of our production facilities faces their own specific challenges in reaching green operations by 2040 at the latest," said Claus-Peter Spille, ContiTech senior vice president of operations. "With the pilot projects, we provide our locations a comprehensive guidance on how to implement systematic operational environmental management at their site."
