MEDICINE HAT, Alberta, Canada—Cancarb Ltd. is being recognized for sustainability.
The carbon black maker was awarded a platinum level rating from EcoVadis, a company that measures business sustainability efforts. The platinum score indicates Cancarb is in the top 1 percent of the carbon black industry when it comes to its sustainability efforts.
"This jump from a gold to platinum level rating confirms our commitment to the environment, and to our customers, employees, and community, as we continue to prove we are a leader in corporate social responsibility and environmental responsibility," Cancarb President Peter Donnelly said in a statement. "Cancarb is and will continue to be a sustainable and responsible organization for years to come."
