TOKYO—Zeon Corp. is raising global prices for thermoplastic elastomer product SIS Quintac, a polystyrene-polyisoprene block used as a base polymer for adhesives or as the main material for elastic films.
Prices for the product will increase by $700 per metric ton (€640/ton), effective April 1, the Japanese chemicals group announced March 14.
The move, Zeon said, is "necessary to ensure supply security, service standards," without giving further information.
