BERWYN, Pa.—Trinseo is working with its customers and suppliers to prepare for the potential implications of Brexit.
"Trinseo expects to continue to serve our customers during the Brexit transition; no shut downs are planned due to Brexit," the company said in an Oct. 15 statement.
The materials supplier said it would be working with customers to schedule shipment before and after the Brexit transition.
Trinseo, which does not own any manufacturing operations in the United Kingdom, said all of its manufacturing operations in Europe are expected to operate as normal during the Brexit transition.
The company said that its procurement department had assessed its supplier base for raw materials originating from the UK and had plans in place to "minimize any risk of disruption to operations."
According to Trinseo, many of its U.K.-based suppliers already have moved materials to their own warehouses in continental Europe to prepare for Brexit.
"We continue to monitor the news about Brexit developments," the company said, noting that the situation remained "dynamic."
"Trinseo is ready to adapt to developments related to Brexit and work with our customers to ensure continuity of service," the statement concluded.
