EXTON, Pa.—Sartomer Co., a supplier of specialty chemicals for ultraviolet and electron beam, peroxide and two-part epoxy/amine systems, has achieved a "double zero" safety record at its plants, research and development centers, and headquarters around the world.
According to Sartomer, a business line of Colombes, France-based Arkema S.A., the company went one full year with no recordable injuries or "major process safety events."
The recognition is because of a "strong commitment to its continuous improvement program as part of its corporate social responsibility business mode," the company said in a news release.
"We take the responsible management of our activities very seriously," said Douglas Sharp, global president of Sartomer. "Our top priorities are the safety of our people and processes, community health and reducing our environmental footprint."
