SUZHOU, China—Chinese tire machinery supplier Safe-Run has been upgrading its machinery portfolio and is further investing to add fully automated machines to its product line.
The company recently partnered with Siemens to jointly develop smart monitoring and control systems, the machinery maker said in a news release.
Safe-Run has developed three new models as a result of this collaboration: a smart single stage passenger car tire building machine SR-PUDe, four-drum single stage truck tire building machine SR-TUC1 and passenger light truck tire building machine SR-TPU1.
In the next three to five years, Safe-Run plans to add fully automated building machines as well as hydraulic curing presses for both car and truck tires to its product line.
The firm also is investing $76.6 million to build a research and development center at its existing site in Kunshan, China, scheduled to break ground in October.
Safe-Run estimates its 2020 revenue to exceed $238.8 million, and anticipates both its revenue and profit to grow by 30-40 percent annually during the next three to five years.
"We have been working with Korea's SK Group to advance our smart production and logistics units…and plan to increase our overseas sales, especially to the Belt and Road markets," Sales Director Zhang Yuguang said.
