CERRITOS, Calif.—R.D. Abbott Inc. has increased its North America footprint with an expanded distribution pact with Parker Lord, a supplier of adhesives and coatings that is owned by Parker Hannifin Corp.
Specifically, the agreement, effective Nov. 1, extends R.D. Abbott's reach into the Midwest.
"For more than 60 years, R.D. Abbott has partnered with Parker Lord in rubber-to-substrate bonding," said Greg Hrenya, vice president of business development at R.D. Abbott. "As a testimony to our collaborative partnership and evidence of Parker Lord's confidence in our services, R.D. Abbott will distribute their materials across the U.S. Midwest and beyond as we continue to connect customers with the best products and services."
Parker Lord adhesives and coatings are being stocked at R.D. Abbott's recently opened location in Barberton, Ohio, a new 60,000-sq.-ft. service center comprising account managers, customer service representatives, materials scientists and rubber technologists.
NovationSi, a silicone and highly-specialized elastomer product manufacturing subsidiary of R.D. Abbott, also is headquartered at the Barberton location.
Customers served out of Barberton include those in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming. The new partnership covers Parker Lord's Autoseal, Chemlok, Flocklok, In-Mold Bonding Adhesives, LokRelease and Sipiol brands.
R.D. Abbott, which has been with Parker since 1958, also distributes Parker Lord materials in Canada and the Western U.S.
