NIZHNEKASMK, Tatarstan—Russian rubber and petrochemicals manufacturer PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim (NKNH) has started selling thermoplastic elastomers produced at its new divinyl styrene production unit for DSSK rubber production.
The styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer (SBS) is suitable for application in road surfaces, shoe soles and roofing materials, NKNH announced April 8.
NKNH said the TPEs are manufactured in a fully automated process and are available in granules.
The TPEs, it said, offer "high mechanical strength" and can be processed multiple times "without harm to the environment."
