STOW, Ohio—Mactac is partnering with Esker to automate its accounts payable and order management processes, an initiative it said will enhance customer service for its growing customer base.
Lintec-owned Mactac, a supplier of pressure-sensitive adhesives, is implementing the information technology changes with Esker, a global cloud platform and leader in AI-driven process automation solutions, as part of the company's digital transformation strategy. Mactac said the new solutions enhance its commitment to providing customers with superior service and supports the rapid growth it's experiencing.
"Mactac's business continues to grow at an exponential pace—earlier this year, we acquired Duramark Products Inc., formerly Ritrama USA," a Mactac spokeswoman said in a news release. "To best meet our needs as well as those of our growing customer base, we are updating our digital process solutions in a way that better aligns with our future growth strategy."
The new, automated accounts payable solution allows Mactac to streamline all vendor inputs into a single platform, which reduces errors and time needed to improve cash management, Mactac said. The order management solution gives Mactac the ability to quickly access metrics and validate information to ensure data accuracy and faster processing of orders.
"We're looking to Esker's solutions to allow us to consolidate information, minimize business risk and intake more new customers, which is crucial as we continue to expand," Larry Sage, vice president of strategic initiatives and information technology at Mactac, said in a statement. "Esker also gives our customers the ability to create their own orders through the Esker customer portal, which will be especially beneficial for our clients who run mom-and-pop shops."
Visibility is "crucial" for the supplier, added Steve Smith, Esker's U.S. chief operating officer.
"There is a great demand to ensure formulas, materials and the ability to price at different levels are easily accessible and accurate," Smith said. "Mactac's products are heavily dependent on multiple variables, which makes it essential that efficiencies in the AP and OM processes are in place."
Stow-headquartered Mactac manufactures and distributes press-sensitive adhesive materials for a number of applications including labels, graphic design, automotive assembly and medical device assembly. It employs more than 500 and maintains operations in the U.S. and Mexico.
