HOUSTON—Polymer supplier Kraton Corp. is introducing a general price hike of $440/metric ton for all hydrogenated styrene block-copolymer (HSBC) products.
The price increase, effective April 1, is driven by the recent "significant" raw materials cost increases and the sharp rise in energy prices and logistics costs, Kraton said March 10.
Given the "unprecedented increases," for natural gas costs in Europe, the company said, Kraton will apply additional energy surcharges to HSBC polymers produced at its plant in Berre, France.
