AVON, Ohio—Maroon Group L.L.C. is taking on another role for Ingevity Corp., this time with a business unit acting as distributor of the specialty chemicals producer's WestRez and Altatac rosin ester product lines in Canada.
Last June, the Avon-based group was named the exclusive U.S. distributor of WestRez.
Ingevity's two brands of bio-based tackifier products are compatible with polymers used in rigid packaging, hygiene, tapes, labels and construction adhesives.
The distribution partnership involves a business unit of Maroon Group called Cambrian Solutions that supplies chemicals, ingredients and formulation expertise to the Canadian coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers market. Cambrian is based in Oakville, Ontario.
"This partnership with Cambrian Solutions strengthens our commitment to providing value-added products and sustainability to our customers," Ingevity's global business manager of adhesives, Kim Meidl, said in a news release.
Greg McDonnell, senior commercial director, at Cambrian Solutions, said Ingevity's technology has a good reputation.
"Ingevity is recognized as an innovator in the rosin-based resin industry with an extensive history of making specialty products," he said in the release.
Based in North Charleston, S.C., Ingevity operates from 25 locations around the world and employs about 1,850 people.
