Huntsman appoints Thames River Chemical as Canadian distributor

THE WOODLANDS, Texas—Huntsman Corp. has named Thames River Chemical Corp. as its primary distributor for Rubinate- and Suprasec-brand MDI isocyanates and Jeffol polyols for the Canadian adhesives, coatings and specialties markets.

The agreement helps Huntsman expand its presence in the Canadian adhesives, coatings and specialties markets and allows TRC to offer a new line of polyurethane-based solutions, Daniel Rosenvasser, commercial manager, adhesives, coatings and specialties for Huntsman Polyurethanes, said in a news release.

Rubinate and Suprasec isocyanates are used in the development of polyurethane, polyurea and hybrid coating systems, along with primers for use on various substrates. Huntsman said the products enhance processability and performance of coatings and primers. The Jeffol polyether polyols can be used with Rubinate and Suprasec products to develop a variety of adhesives, coatings and specialties systems.

TRC is a Canadian blender and distributor of chemicals used in applications including agriculture, industrial cleaners, lubricants, and oil and gas, among others.

Huntsman is a manufacturer and marketer of differentiated and specialty chemicals.
