ATLANTA—Huber Carbonates L.L.C. is making some changes to its distribution partnerships, adding four companies beginning in the fourth quarter of 2020 that will cover much of the U.S.
Huber Carbonates, the Atlanta-based division of the J.M. Huber Corp. headquartered in Edison, N.J., made the changes for distribution of its ground calcium carbonate business for non-rubber applications, including paints and coatings, plastics, inks, grouts, mortars, stuccos, adhesives, caulks and sealants.
The new companies include: Essential Materials, Inc. (for the western U.S.); Nagase America L.L.C. (Midwest); Superior Materials, Inc. (Northeast); and Terra Firma Co., L.L.C. (Southeast).
Huber will continue its partnership with Akrochem Corp. for the rubber industry in the U.S.
Huber Carbonates manufactures the raw material calcium carbonate in three U.S. facilities, focusing on industrial, food and USP grade calcium carbonate; specialty alumina trihydrate; magnesium hydroxide; molybdate compounds; and agricultural nutrients.
