SANDUSKY, Ohio—Tracy Garrison, president of Hexpol Compounding Americas and Hexpol TP Compounding, will leave the company at the end of 2019.
The firm said in a Nov. 5 statement that Garrison has decided to take a position outside of the Hexpol Group. Mikael Fryklund, CEO and president of Hexpol A.B., will become acting president of both Hexpol Compounding Americas and Hexpol TP Compounding until a successor has been appointed.
The Hexpol statement did not name which company Garrison will be going to.
"Tracy Garrison has been instrumental in our successful growth strategy to considerably expand the Rubber Compounding business in Americas," Fryklund said in a statement. "Likewise, he has built up a very strong and capable team and culture in our American operations. I would like to take the opportunity to thank Tracy for his commitment and efforts during his long and valuable time within the Hexpol Group and wish him great success in his new position."
The firm has grown significantly under Garrison's leadership. Most recently, Hexpol added Preferred Compounding in a $239 million deal, combining North America's two largest custom mixers.
Hexpol also disclosed plans to close its Kardoes Rubber Co. subsidiary in LaFayette, Ala., by the end of 2019. The firm recently reported 11 percent growth in the Americas for the third quarter while the company as a whole saw increased sales of 15 percent to $1.2 billion for the first nine months of 2019.
