TOKYO—Denka Co. Ltd. is raising prices for its acrylic special rubber marketed under the brand "Denka ER."
The price hike of "more than $1,000 per metric ton" will begin on Sept. 21, the Japanese materials supplier said in a Sept. 7 statement.
"We are facing difficulty of cost increase in our production, such as raw materials, and cannot absorb all of the cost increase," Denka said.
The increase in prices will help "maintain the stable supply and business continuity," it said.
