Continental lauds DuPont with Supplier of the Year honor

NEU-ISENBURG, GERMANY—DuPont Mobility & Materials is receiving a supplier of the year award from Continental A.G. for the fourth consecutive year.

DuPont gains recognition as "a reliable supplier for Continental's advanced dynamic solutions division, providing outstanding quality performance across all locations," DuPont said.

"We are both proud and humbled to have received this outstanding recognition for a fourth year in a row," Rudy van Engen, sales director for EMEA at DuPont, said in a statement. "This success is the result of our team's commitment to working closely with Continental and to continuously innovating while providing technical and commercial excellence."

DuPont supplies Hytrel resin for use in constant velocity joint boots and Zytel nylon resin across Europe and China for applications in structural automotive components.

"Reliable partnerships are particularly important to us because they make a decisive contribution to the company's success," said Hicran Hayik-Koller, global cluster purchase manager (resins and chemicals) for Continental's Advanced Dynamics Solutions Business Unit. "DuPont operates globally and provides us with quality materials and services that are innovative and sustainable."

Continental has given this award every year since 2008, and DuPont was selected as one of five suppliers from a field of more than 170 nominees, DuPont said.
