BOSTON—Cabot Corp. will increase prices for all activated carbon products by between 5 and 15 percent, depending on product and region.
The price increase will go into effect for shipments made on or after Oct. 1, or as customer contracts allow, according to a Cabot news release.
The price boost is needed because of increases in costs of raw material, operating, environmental compliance and freight, Cabot said. It will allow Cabot to support continued investment in product and application development, and ensure reliability of Cabot's ongoing customer services.
Cabot is a specialty chemicals and performance materials company, providing rubber and specialty carbons, activated carbon, ink jet colorants, masterbatches and conductive compounds, fumed silica and aerogel.
