Burgess Pigment names Lintech to manage Southeast sales

SANDERSVILLE, Ga.—Burgess Pigment Co. has struck a deal with Lintech International L.L.C. to manage its portfolio of water washed and calcined kaolin clays int the Southeast.

The agreement, which began Nov. 1, includes Iceberg, Icecap, Optiwhite and other specialty grade kaolin products.

"Lintech's technical sales organization, supported by an extensive distribution infrastructure, enables us to strategically align our resources to expand and strengthen our customer reach and service to grow our target markets in key Southeastern states," Dickey Shurling, regional sales manager for Burgess, said in a statement.

Lintech calls itself a national specialty chemical distributor of resins, monomers, additives, pigments and performance materials. Markets include agriculture, coatings, inks, plastics, rubber, adhesives and composites.

"Combining Lintech's technical knowledge and customer base with Burgess' strong brand of high-quality kaolin clay products will lead to overall expansion and growth for both companies," said Chuck Churn, director of principal relations at Lintech.
