MANSFIELD, Ga.—Beaver Manufacturing Co. Inc. earned a Premier Supplier Award from Eaton Corp., one of only 22 suppliers to Eaton to earn that distinction out of more than 35,000 direct suppliers to the company globally.
Mansfield-based Beaver is a premier global converter of industrial yarns, utilizing the following processes: twisting, winding, treatments and new yarn technology. Beaver's products are used in the manufacturing of Eaton's hose products.
The awards were given out during Eaton's annual Supplier Conference, which was held virtually because of the global COVID-19 pandemic. It was the second time Beaver had been honored with the Premier Supplier Award, according to Chuck Senne, Beaver vice president of sales.
Some of Beaver's initiatives that contributed to its section included:
- Its project to expand production into the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. The supplier also is taking steps to improve its service there as well as in Asia-Pacific;
- Its support of Eaton to avoid extended downtime situations by expediting material or offering alternative solutions;
- Introduction of a new yarn that will improve the efficiency on the braiders; and
- Establishment of manufacturing in Mexico to better service Eaton's Reynosa, Mexico, factory, thus helping eliminate tariffs.
Eaton has been a longtime customer of Beaver's, and the award means a lot to the company and its employees, according to Senne.
"We want people throughout the organization to know that they're being recognized for their hard work," he said.
