LUDWIGSHAFEN, Germany—Chemical maker BASF S.E. has announced a global price increase for antioxidants used in plastic applications.
Effective immediately, the increase covers Irganox 1076, Irgano PS 802 and related blends in its additives portfolio by up to 35 percent.
The price adjustment is in response to the significantly higher cost for stearyl alcohol and logistics, BASF said March 7.
The price increase "also applies to the use of these additives in elastomer/rubber applications," a BASF spokeswoman confirmed to European Rubber Journal.
