AVON LAKE, Ohio—Material solutions provider Avient Corp. in Avon Lake has expanded its product lines in a couple of areas.
It has added two new grades to its Barricade elastomers product line, expanding the durometer range in response to "customer inquiries and application requirements," a news release stated.
"Market and application demands are ever changing, and it's our responsiveness and deep formulation expertise that help customers meet those challenges head on," Matt Mitchell, director of global marketing, said in the release. "This product expansion is an example of our ongoing innovation process focused on solving customer problems with advanced materials science."
Avient also recently launched new formulations to its Edgetek ET8900 CR series for "chemical and crack resistance to common consumer disinfectants," according to a news release.
"The pandemic has given rise to more frequent cleaning and disinfecting, and this new normal is fueling demand for materials that can endure increased chemical exposure without degrading," Mitchell said in the release. "This is especially true for public, high-touch surfaces that are being wiped or sprayed at increasing rates. These new grades offer application and design engineers a durable solution that reduces disinfectant-related failures, like cracking and crazing, so products and surfaces can last longer and look better."
