Urethane - is used in hundreds of applications in multiple industries and is easy to use and has good wear resistance. Properties include high durometer, fatigue shear, and abrasion resistance. Excels in mechanical strength, has low heat, and chemical resistance. Urethane is also well suited for production casting of concrete, gypsum, wax., seals, and extrusions.
AEM (Ethylene-Acrylic or AEM) - used in applications where heat and chemical resistance, and specific rubber-like qualities are needed, including automotive powertrains. Applications include automotive air ducts and turbocharger hose, auto connectors, cable insulation and jacketing, and seals and gaskets.
T (Polysulfide) - is a synthetic polymer made by the reaction of sodium polysulfide with an oxygen dichloride resistant to light (UV), oxygen, oil, and solvents impermeable to gases. Other properties include low temperature flexibility, and flex-crack resistance. Applications include rubberizing fuel storage tanks, and in manufacturing of oil and gasoline-resistant tubing, and diaphragms for gas meters.
ECO (Epichlorohydrin) - is broadly used in auto fuel hose, air ducts, A/C and vibration damping. It also offers excellent performance in high and low temperatures and has low gas permeability. ECO offers good resistance to bio-fuel and abrasion.
CSM (Chlorosulfinated Polyethylene) - is very resistant to attack by oxygen and ozone when properly compounded and has excellent weathering resistance, high tensile strength, abrasion resistance, and resistance to abrasive chemicals. CSM is also flame retardant, able to withstand high temperature, has moderate oil resistance, and good cold flex properties.
CPE (Chlorinated Polyethylene) - has excellent physical and mechanical properties such as resistance to oil, chemicals, and improved thermal properties. CPE has great compression set, flame retardancy, tensile strength, and abrasion resistance. Applications include wire and cable jacketing, roofing, automotive and industrial hose and tubing, molding, and extrusion. CPE blends well with many types of plastic such as Polyethylene, EVA, and PVC.
HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) - is a tough and durable elastomer. HNBR is used for applications requiring high and low temperature performance (fuel resistance and cold temp resistance set it above normal NBR). It is ideal for seals that are in contact with oil fluid components and rolls for paper mills.
ACM (Polyacrylate) - offers significant improvements in long-term high-temperatures. It is used in automotive applications including valve cover gaskets, oil pan gaskets, rocker cover gaskets, and various seals. Also, the extensive heat and oil resistance make ACM ideal for solvent-based adhesives, calk, and sealant applications.
